SEND THEM A COPY OF FULTON SHEEN'S WARTIME PRAYER BOOK TODAY

Dear Friends of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen,

May the Lord give you His peace!

I would like to thank you for your generous response to my appeal for the Wartime Prayer Book Campaign in March. On average, our Foundation sends about 750 Wartime Prayer Books every month. But during the Lenten Season, your generosity enabled our Foundation to send over 1,750 Wartime Prayer Books to our soldiers overseas. I have no doubt that your sacrifice allowed them to receive an important spiritual resource to help them meditate on the mystery of God's love during the holy season of Lent.

This coming Memorial Day, as you take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of our fallen heroes, I would like you to remember also their comrades who to this day, continue the legacy of defending our freedom in war-stricken areas of the world.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen's Wartime Prayer Book has brought guidance, inspiration and peace of soul to the thousands of troops who have received them over the last 3 years. And knowing that they now have the spiritual armor they needed has brought comfort and solace to their loved ones back home. But there are still countless others who have not yet heard about the Wartime Prayer Book. So there is still a lot of work to be done.

I hope that I can count on you to be generous once more. Please help us meet our goal of distributing 100,000 copies of the Wartime Prayer Book to our troops this year. We cannot do it without your support.

Thank you and God love you!

Father Andrew Apostoli, C.F.R.
Vice-Postulator for the Cause of Canonization of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

There are certain things in life too beautiful to be forgotten. That is why we revere the sacrifice of our soldiers on Memorial Day. The most beautiful thing about the life of our Lord was His death. Everyone else came into the world to live; He came into it to die. "to give His life as a ransom for many" (Matt. 20:28).

His death is the one thing He wished to have remembered. He did not ask that men should write down His words in books. He did not ask that His deeds be recorded in history. But He did ask that men remember His death. - Wartime Prayer Book, pages 66-67
